What are 3 new things...
- The common problems in ESL teaching and Learning: Developing academic language and background knowledge, differentiating instruction, and integrating the students' native languages. Along the line of differentiating instruction I like the idea of the software program that can assist in tracking an individual and offer ways for the student to work alone.
- Common Problems in foreign language programs are authentic materials, authentic perspectives, and creating audience and purpose. Under authentic materials, authentic perspectives it talks of WBLL (web-based language learning) to help students navigate faster to relevant websites.
- Last but not least, computer-assisted language learning (CALL) for students to enhance their speaking and listening skills.
What two things would I integrate...
- Support systems
- Language Labs, if school had proper funding
- Podcasts or Radio broadcasts for students to listen and speak
